We have been doing the Planet Earth and Beyond I learnt about the stars with my friends.

1 thing I enjoyed I enjoyed making a slide

2 things that were hard was getting facts and researching

3 facts I learnt were that the stars give light

and they are bright
and they form pictures in the sky.

Autumn Writing

This week we have been looking at autumn leaves and writing about them. So we went to a autumn tree with autumn leaves in it. We also saw some green leaves in the tree. We had fun on Wednesday.

We have been learning about the structure of the Earth. Here is our presentation.

Mrs B said we all needed lots of help on this tasc but it is OK because we are learning.	Next time I will try and not get distracted with showing other people my work and not be so interested in other people's work because I didn’t meet the deadline.	I learnt how to write the layer names, planets and heat related words like temperature. Also I learnt lots about Earth.

We are learning about what the Earth is like on the outside and the inside. We used hard-boiled eggs as mini-models for the earth. We got to design our own continents and islands on the outside of the egg shell. At the end of the experiment we got to eat the egg.

Structure of the Earth Facts

We are learning about the structure of the Earth.

I learnt that the Earth is made up of 4 layers. They are the inner core, outer core, mantle and
crust.

Facts about each layer: Inner core outer core Mantle and crust. they are

Crust - The crust is the thinnest layer of them all and and is pushing all the others in.

Mantle - The mantle is made out of rocks and it is squishy and soft because the hot temperature
has melted the rocks.

Outer Core -The outer core is the third layer of the Earth.  It is the temperature of the out layer of the sun which is about 5,778 K

Inner Core - The inner core is solid Nickel and Iron.  Even though it is extremely hot, it remains solid because of the pressure pushing in on it from all of the layers above.

First we created a 3D image of the earth using out of clay.

We then cut the shape in half to show the different layers. After waiting for it to dry, we identified
each layer by painting them in different colours.

The Living World

Hello,
 This is my living slideshow.
For the last 5 or 6 weeks will be choosing our own activities to learn about the living world.
We did a multiple intelligences test to see what kind of learner we were.
My top three ways of learning intelligences are;
1. Musical
2. Naturalist
3.Verbal
I am looking forward to know what my intelligences are.
 It was interesting trying to get the right images.

Earthworms

We made simple and complex sentences about the worms we studied in class. I like Earth worm because l like finding them and  I like learning about there segment.
